Hi there, fellow travelers — and welcome to our corner of Curaçao.

We’re Carlos and Patty, two Venezuelan designers who’ve proudly called this island home since 2000. For years, we lived surrounded by the light, calm, and creative rhythm of our house in Banda Ariba, until one day, we decided to share a piece of it.

During the pandemic, after more than 16 years running our creative agency, we felt the call to slow down and build something closer to the heart — and to home.

So, with our own hands, a lot of design love, and the help of our three daughters, we stole two spaces from our family house and turned them into small, soulful hideaways.

That’s how TuKas.221 was born.

First came TuKas.1, a warm, rustic retreat designed for slow travelers and quiet mornings. Then TuKas.2, a romantic open-air escape made for barefoot living and tropical nights.

What began as a creative side project soon became our favorite way to welcome the world, a reflection of everything we love about island life: calm, design, authenticity, and connection.

Today, every TuKas stay is personal. Every corner tells a story.
And when you arrive, you’re not just booking a place, you’re becoming part of a home that grew, quite literally, from ours.
