Hi, fellow travelers!
I'm Carlos Ortega, a Venezuelan graphic designer who has proudly called Curaçao home since 2000. Together with my wonderful wife and our three amazing daughters, we live in a charming family house in the island’s peaceful eastern region—Banda Ariba.

During the pandemic, after 16 years running a creative agency, we made a life-changing decision: we sold our business and shifted focus to something closer to home—literally. With the support of my wife, also a designer, we transformed two areas of our private family house into welcoming, thoughtfully curated vacation rentals.

That’s how TuKas 221 was born—first with TuKas 1, a cozy retreat filled with rustic touches and warm Caribbean charm. Encouraged by the positive guest experiences, we expanded to create TuKas 2, a unique open-air getaway designed for outdoor living lovers.

We now share these two parts of our home through Airbnb, offering a peaceful and authentic Curaçao experience to travelers from all over the world. Whether you're here for relaxation, adventure, or remote work, we’re happy to welcome you into our home and help make your stay unforgettable.
